Hello there!

Welcome to J.O. News, where I check in with monthly business updates, relevant news, resources, and what's making everyone smile.

From taking a sabbatical, moving to a new country, to launching a half-baked idea, it has truly been a year (plus) of personal self-reflection and growth. If I had to summarize my takeaways into tangible lessons, they’d include:

  1. Stand in the ambiguity and discomfort of vulnerability

  2. Surround yourself with a support network of family, friends, nature, and hobbies

  3. Always face the sun (and moon, because we are inclusive here)

As we all navigate an inconsistent job market, a rapidly evolving workplace, and funding insecurities, I hope this newsletter serves as a soft landing spot to recenter and propel forward, into the unknown. At the core of J.O. Strategies is a nerd (me) with a genuine desire to help tell your story, build connections, and provide structure and direction.

Thanks so much for signing up and for your support during my soft launch. Your input has led to this, and I can’t wait to see what’s ahead.

What are your lessons from the past year?

See you in July,

Jo

Light at the End of the Tunnel

What’s keeping you sane lately? Every month, I will share what I’ve been listening to, reading, or watching that brings joy. P.S. Should I start a collaborative music playlist? If I create one, would you contribute?

This month’s pick: Amy Poehler’s new podcast, Good Hang. She is one of the greats, and her humor could not have arrived at a better time.

What’s keeping you going these days?
