Happy September!

(Missed the last issue? View it here.)

As you soak up the last few bits of Summer, you’re probably also anticipating a new season with excitement, uncertainty, or a little bit of everything in between.

In the August issue, I announced the Finding Certainty in the Uncertain event series to discuss this very human experience. Throughout the month, and as I reflected on the conversations, three throughlines stood out to me:

  • Discomfort is necessary and a given

  • It always comes back to you

  • You can’t do it alone

The series focused on navigating life transitions, the ever-changing workplace, and effectively showing up in the job market. If you missed the events or would like to revisit any content, you can now access the follow-up materials in this issue. Special thanks to Rebecca and Katt for joining me on this ride and making this possible.

What connections are you noticing in the different discussions? What resonated with you in one or more of the events? Reply to this email to be featured in the October newsletter.

See you next month,

Jo

Finding Certainty in the Uncertain: Follow-Up Materials

Enjoyed the conversation? Dive deeper with Rebecca’s Book

“Our nervous systems are tapped out… and the more work matters to us–the more we care–the harder it is to manage all the internal and external pressures we put on ourselves. Yet there is another way—the way of the “rooted renegade”—to live and lead sustainably. Rebecca offers readers an inspiring and hands-on guide to holistic success on your own terms.”

Resources

Keeping it light with this section this month. There are so many gems to check out in the previous section! A couple of things that caught my eye in August:

Light at the End of the Tunnel

Every month, I share what I’ve been enjoying and bringing me levity. (I also share yours if you share it with me!)

This month’s pick(s): Wednesday Addams. Ironically, this show has been a fun and heartwarming distraction from a bumpy month. Tim Burton projects always curate the best and most eclectic soundtracks. Enjoy!
